Primary School Art Competition – 2013

Once again we are running our Annual Art Competition for local primary school students, in conjunction with our Festival running 8th – 18th March.

Entrants are invited to draw or paint posters inspired by the title of the play. Colour and imagination are key elements.

There are three categories – One painting per student.

Category 1: Infants, Senior Infants & First Class

Category 2: Second, Third & Fourth Class

Category 3: Fifth & Sixth Class

Please ensure that Artist Name, School & Class is written on the back of every entry.

1st, 2nd and 3rd will be given in each category. Some entries will be highly commended and all winners notified will receive trophies and Easter Eggs.

Kindly sponsored by Books ETC. I would ask you to encourage the children to take part in this competition, which will help to create an awareness of, and interest in Drama.

The winners and highly commended only, will be displayed in the town hall during the festival. Presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday 10th March, in the Dalton Inn Hotel at 3.30pm, during our newly added Fringe Festival, where two 15mins plays will be staged.
